I really wanted a basic rack but the mounting points of my bike's causes the generic racks to angle down and the rack would not be level. I had to look for a rack that would allow for some adjustability. The quick release function is a useless feature on this rack. Once you tighten the leg brackets to the frame that rack is going nowhere without unscrewing them off. On my bike the rack's right leg bracket is impinging on the rear derailleur cable. I have not found a solution to alleviate the tension placed on the cable. I've ridden the bike once and it does not seem to have any noticeable affect on gear shifting but the cable rubbing hard against this bracket is not ideal. Another thing I noticed is that the weakest weight bearing part of this design is the leg bracket adjuster screw. This screw locks the leg and bracket together. Normally you would expect maybe several pre-drilled holes that the screw locks into, the shaft of the screw would thus bear the weight. This screw tightening method is simply via friction. You definitely want to tighten these 2 screws down pretty good. I wouldn't trust the rack to really hold up a heavy load on anything but the smoothest roads. The jostling and wear will eventually weaken the contact between the end of the screws and the aluminum legs. Once they go the entire weight is on the seat post bracket. Every seat post only rear brackets advertises around 20lbs load limit. What used to be 110lb limit is no just a fancy rear fender.I know I am overthinking it but I would like to have seen a better design. Overall, the way the rack fits on my bike, the useless quick release and the deficient locking screws I gave it 3 stars. If I actually used it to carry anything even close to 100lbs I would expect a spectacular fail and a 1 star. For the price, its great. Not the greatest quality, for sure feels like cheap plastic but if you're doing mt biking or jumps, this thing will work for you. That the screws can break inside the thread if you tighten too hard, but on the other hand you do want it tight.Again, overall it works and if it's installed correctly there should be no problemIt was easy to install and good value for the money. A few bungees and it will hold what we need it to!As there are no instructions included, don't forget to use the image of the instructions shown in the amazon post for this item. Note that it's better to hand tighten all the bolts first and fiddle with the angles until the support rod inserts far enough into the tube shown in image 3 of step 2. I mounted the bottom bracket right over the gear shift wire and just trimmed the gaskets so that the wire was unaffected. Also, I found it useful to loosen the bolts of step 1 at the end and push the rack as far back as possible to keep my large paniers from touching my legs.If I had known that I had to remove the quick release supports to fasten the rack to my Decathlon B-twin Tilt500 foldable bike, I would have bought the cheaper version of the rack. As somebody else already complained, it would have been better to have a setup instrucutionmanual with the product (although there are som assembly instructions in one of the product descriptions of amazon). As suggested by amazon, I bought the kem moto rack saddle bag and I am very happy with that, because it provide a ple storage spa e for picnic rides. I also was able to install the bike wheel pump on the same rack, as you may notice if you go through the photos.I did not read the description well enough. If you are getting this rack for a full suspension bike, don’t do it. The rack will attempt to lock out your rear suspension and will probably bend your frame if you leave it on for long enough. I only realized this once I had gotten the rack mounted but luckily before I attempted to ride the bike. Oh well, I’ll keep the rack and put it on my wife’s bike. Overall the ease of installation was very manageable as long as you have a small understanding of basic hand tools. It seems to be sturdy enough as well, just didn’t fit my full suspension frame. This worked out great for my bike it was easy to install it works just fine
