Absolutely love this coat even if it does run a little large. I have a greyhound and they are notoriously difficult to fit coats to. I ordered for his length and that is perfect, but as in most dog coats that means it's a bit too large for his thin body. That said, it keeps him warm and dry and that is the most important thing as far as I'm concerned. Plus, he looks so handsome in it.I bought this for my German Shepherd puppy that was seized from a local trainer who starved her to nearly death. She lost all her coat so in the brutal winter I couldn't be outside with her for more then 5 minutes before she got cold. So this blanket is a life saver for her. She loves it so much she doesn't want me to take it off and when I pull it out to go outside she puts her head into the blanket as soon as she sees it. It's very warm, fits her well, has plenty of room for her to grow into, and it's super cute. I bought this style because it seems to be an easy fit and easy to put it on or take it off. It doesn't slide off of her and it's water proof. Love this blanket.I love this blanket. Because it is a “horse style” blanket, it’s easy to adjust and put on. It can also fit any type of animal (as long as it’s within the sizes provided). Great for show lambs, goats, pigs, etc. we’ve used them on all of our show animals, and of course the dogs. We have 6 dogs. 4 large (over 100 lbs) and 2 medium sized. I recommend if your dog is active and runs a lot. It doesn’t rub (as long as it’s fitted correctly) and it stays in place very well (unless it gets really wet or your dog likes to roll a lot).Sizing chart is pretty accurate. You can google “how to measure a dog for a dog blanket” and the Charts will apprear. I found that these run a little big, so really measure well and correctly. They are great about returns and exchanges if you need to get another size.My Dogs act as if they're suffering severely whenever I put coats on them to try to keep them warm. And typically most "warm" coats aren't water-resistant. At all.But these coats are wonderful! Super easy and no hassle to put on and take off. My dogs love them because they can move around easily.100% water resistant and surprisingly warm.Incredible quality and you cannot beat the price.This is a very cleverly designed dog coat because of the velcro straps. Our dogs go into the woods, through fields and brush, and so far the velcro has stayed pretty debris free. Also, one of our dogs is 14 and arthritic, so we had to have a coat that we didn't have to feed her front legs through (sweater type). This works beautifully. Also, I like the bright yellow visibility because of hunters. The only thing I would like would be two warmth options, then I would have chosen warmer for our elderly dog. As it is, it is perfect for our younger extremely active dog. All in all, a good purchase, well made and designed, and I would buy again.For my Golden Retriever this coat has been an exceptional purchase. I've bought countless dog coats in the past for a Labrador and a Pit Bull, and this one tops them all. It is longer than most coats I'd purchased at pet stores, and the simple adjustability fit her right the first time. It's both long across her spine and down her sides, so keeps her cleaner on rainy walks. I ordered a second within a month to have color choices. Also, the fabric allows me to brush off dirt once dry, and isn't absorbing her hair-oils so I haven't had to wash yet. I'd definitely order again.We bought this for a young boxer that loves to play in the snow. It is made very well with just enough padding to keep her warm, but not enough to make her sweat while she is running around. The way the belly band tightens, keeps it very snug without restricting her movement. It is made very well and is a nice tight material that does not snag easily. Would buy again.When our wind chill was dropping lower & lower here in Buffalo our Abby would stop getting in position to do her business every time the wind picked up. Her coat is actually very fine.This coat fits her perfectly and she seems to like it. Once I had the front buckle right I just left it buckled. Just a very secure Velcro around her chest. I love that it is wind & waterproof. The drape down her sides is longer than others I saw while shopping.
